Republic day celebration.(2020). The 71st Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at St. Mary champion school on 25th January 2020. 26th of January is a gala day for every Indian. During this year. 1950, the Constitution of India came into force and our country, India became the Republic. We celebrate this day as a festival every year. All the students assembled on the school ground at 9.40. After some time the Principal Ma’am and the Director Sir unfurled the National flag. The students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves upholding the honor and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is “India”. Then the series of speeches started with number of programs prepared by our primary students such as patriotic song,the choir group presented “ aye watan watan aabaad rahe tu “ and a poem composed by Rabindranath Tagore, “Where the mind is without fear”. The whole school enjoyed the choir and the beautiful dance by class 5 boys from “Kesari” reverberated the surroundings. The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were spellbinding. In the end Director Sir and Ma’am gave away the medals and certificates to children who participated in Kho-Kho, races, Kabaddi, Dodge ball, kick ball, and sports yoga, Taekwondo, gymnasium . Our Director Sir addressed the children and applauded their reverence toward their hard work in their presentation and addressed the importance of this day. The whole program of Republic day was nice.
